About Darine  

Hello! I'm Darine, grateful to connect with outdoorsy, travel enthusiasts like yourselves. Thank you for being here and for your curiosity to learn more about me. 

I was born in Calgary, Alberta. Raised on the family “Come by Chance Ranch” west of small town Olds. My parents raised me to be kind, honest and hard-working. I am the middle child and admire my brothers.  

Quality time with family & friends is super important to me.  

 Some incredible moments I will always remember are;
     - Tubing through the Waitomo Glowworm Caves in NZ. 
     - Travelling the Ha Giang Motorbike Loop in Vietnam.
     - Photographing the Aurora Borealis in Banff National Park with my boyfriend Jason & dog Ollie! 
     - Capturing the"Intertwined Dream", A photograph of my brother & his buddy making fresh snowmobile tracks in the backcountry of Revelstoke, British Columbia. 

Currently, I have travelled to 13 countries. New Zealand was one of my favourites! 
Egypt, Alaska & Iceland are the next top travel destinations on my list. 

Lattes are my go-to & I love sweet treats. 

Fun fact: I was an equestrian vaulter for 9 years. "Sunwillow Vaulters" was a club we started. I was the assistant coach, my mum was the coach & horse lunger. My older brother Haigen was on the first Canadian team to attend the World Equestrian Games in France in 2014!  

My current summer goal is to scout epic new photography session locations! 

The outdoors is my happy place. I enjoy spending all my free time in the sun & nature, hiking, rock climbing, horseback riding, camping, snowmobiling, snowboarding etc!  

Photography has been a true passion of mine for many years. I find immense joy in capturing meaningful, beautiful moments that bring smiles to others. It’s more than just taking photos, it’s about creating lasting memories and sharing genuine happiness through my work. I love meeting new people and always aim to leave a positive, heartfelt impression on everyone I have the privilege of connecting with.

My family & friends say I am "devoted, adventurous, kind-hearted and loyal. Always down for a coffee and an ear to listen, hands to help out, supportive and loving in the most important ways. A best friend, sister, auntie, cousin and daughter,  no matter what the title, Darine is full-heartedly, genuinely, herself."
